Safety Procedures:

1. Required PPE:
   1. Steel-Toe Boots or Green-Toe Caps
   2. Protective Gloves
   3. Safety Glasses
2. Always test the weight of the coil before lifting. If the coil is too heavy, ask for assistance.
3. Always wear steel-toe boots when replacing coils, as they can be extremely heavy.
   1. After loading a new coil, ensure it is properly mounted and secured before operating the machine.
4. Never thread the coil while the machine is in operation.
5. Always perform proper lockout/tagout on the main computer before loading and unloading a new coil.
6. Always press the emergency stop (E-stop) button before loading a new coil.
   1. Never block the E-stops on the machine with carts or material.
   2. Press the emergency stop button on the safety cage before loading a new coil on the intercept machine.

c. Press the emergency stop button on the main control screen before loading a new coil onto the Intergrid or Interscreen machines.

1. Only use a hoist or overhead crane to load a new coil.

1. Always align the new coil carefully with the mandrel before loading.
2. Never lift a coil by hand.
3. Keep your hands and fingers away from pinch points when loading a new coil to prevent crushing injuries.
